The
preservation of our world lies in the wilderness.
Our mission
Old-growth forests are home to a vast array of biodiversity and are essential for species conservation and climate stability. Once destroyed, they are irretrievably lost. We purchase ecologically valuable and critically endangered wilderness areas in a legally secure manner and protect them permanently. In doing so, we safeguard these wilderness areas from disappearing for good and preserve them for future generations.
With your donation, you can save your very own piece of rainforest.
€1 protects 1 m² of forest – transparently, down to the square metre, and for the long term.

As a biologist and conservationist, I see first-hand around the world how the destruction of habitats is not only accelerating species extinction, but I also know that it is a major driver of climate change. When I came across WI, I realised straight away that I wanted to be part of this work.
